MGA Issues Warning Against Three Unauthorised Gaming Sites

The Malta Gaming Authority has issued a formal declaration distancing itself from three websites that have falsely claimed connections to the Maltese regulator or its gaming licences.

Unauthorised Platforms Identified

The MGA specifically declared it has no connection with rrbet.com, babu88bd.com, and wagerstreet.net. The regulator noted that the brand 'Babu88' and its related platforms have likewise been identified as unauthorised operations.

Any reference to the MGA and gaming licences said to be issued by the Maltese Authority, as stated by these websites, is false and misleading, the regulator confirmed.

Unauthorised Gaming Platforms

The Malta Gaming Authority has identified three specific websites falsely claiming MGA licensing: rrbet.com, babu88bd.com, and wagerstreet.net. The 'Babu88' brand and its related platforms are confirmed as completely unauthorised operations with no connection to legitimate Maltese gaming regulation.

Consumer Protection Warning

The authority reminded consumers to verify that gaming entities are properly authorised before using their services. The gaming regulatory framework obliges authorised persons to comply with strict legal requirements in the interest of consumers.

This latest warning follows the MGA's previous alert against four fraudulent gambling sites issued earlier this year, demonstrating the regulator's ongoing commitment to protecting consumers from unauthorised operators.

Warning

The activities of unlicensed entities are unregulated and do not provide the necessary safeguards outlined by the framework, making transactions with such entities risky for consumers.

The MGA maintains a publicly accessible list of licensed entities for verification purposes.

Licence Verification

Always verify gaming operator licences through the MGA's publicly accessible list of licensed entities before engaging with any gaming platform. This simple check can protect you from unregulated operators that lack proper consumer safeguards and legal compliance requirements.

According to Malta Gaming Authority.
