ONCE Renews Scratch Card Portfolio for 2027 Launch

Spanish lottery operator ONCE has secured regulatory approval from AZARplus Consumo for its refreshed scratch card catalog and Christmas lottery offerings for 2027, according to an official publication in the BOE.

The operator is retiring obsolete scratch games including "3 in a Row" and "Seven and a Half 2025" to make way for five new product launches scheduled between June and August 2026.

New Product Portfolio

The electronic format introduces three products: Symbols 37, Symbols 38, and Seven and a Half Electronic 2026. For physical scratch cards, ONCE will launch Seven and a Half 2026, maintaining the €1 price point. The lineup also includes Equal Numbers 19.

ONCE Product Naming Convention

ONCE uses sequential numbering for its Symbols series scratch cards, with Symbols 37 and 38 representing the continuation of this long-running product line. The 'Seven and a Half' games reference the popular Spanish card game 'Siete y Media', similar to blackjack but played to 7.5 instead of 21.

Enhanced Christmas Offering

This approval demonstrates ONCE's commitment to modernising its gaming portfolio while balancing traditional physical formats with digital alternatives. The significant investment in the Christmas lottery's prize pool signals the operator's confidence in seasonal lottery demand and willingness to leverage cross-product revenue streams for enhanced player propositions.
