Luckia Opens New Corporate HQ in A Coruña Tomorrow

Spanish gaming operator Luckia will officially open its new corporate headquarters in A Coruña tomorrow, 7 May, with an institutional ceremony bringing together political, business and economic representatives.

The inauguration event will host Alfonso Rueda, president of the Xunta de Galicia, alongside Inés Rey, mayor of A Coruña, and Antonio Fontenla, president of the CEC, plus other institutional guests. Attendees will receive guided tours of the facility led by Luckia president José González Fuentes and vice president Alfredo González Fuentes.

Sustainable Design and Technology

The new headquarters spans 24,000 square metres across seven floors and a semi-basement, designed to accommodate approximately 1,000 employees. Every level benefits from natural light access, complemented by extensive work areas, terraces, an auditorium, gymnasium, restaurant and cafeterias on each floor.

Additional facilities include a vertical garden, corporate museum space, 327 parking spaces and 90 electric charging points. The complex incorporates energy efficiency systems based on geothermal, aerothermal and solar energy technologies.

Green Building Certification

The headquarters incorporates LEED-certified sustainable design principles, with the geothermal system expected to reduce energy consumption by up to 40% compared to traditional HVAC systems. The 90 electric charging points represent one of the largest corporate EV infrastructure installations in Galicia.

Strategic Consolidation

The facility represents Luckia's commitment to growth, modernisation and long-term corporate structure consolidation. Conceived as a reference project for innovation, sustainability and workplace wellness, the headquarters integrates professional activity with high-performance working environments.

The complex has been fully operational ahead of tomorrow's formal opening, positioning the company for its next growth phase in the Spanish market.

Market Positioning Signal

This substantial infrastructure investment demonstrates Luckia's confidence in Spain's regulated gaming market trajectory. The scale and sustainability features signal the operator's long-term commitment to Spanish operations, potentially influencing competitor expansion strategies. The presence of senior Galician officials underscores the regional economic importance of established gaming operators, particularly as jurisdictions increasingly focus on local employment and tax contributions from licensed operators.

Regional Economic Impact

Galicia's gaming sector contributed €127 million in tax revenue in 2023, with Luckia representing approximately 15% of the region's licensed operator employment. The new facility positions A Coruña as a potential tech hub for Spanish gaming operations.
