EveryMatrix Gains Alberta Gaming Licence for July Launch

EveryMatrix has secured conditional licensing approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC), enabling the technology provider to offer its iGaming platform in Canada's second regulated market when it launches in July.

The approval allows EveryMatrix to provide its casino and sports platform technologies to licensed operators in Alberta, which is poised to follow Ontario as Canada's next regulated iGaming territory. Alberta's regulated framework will open opportunities for licensed operators to enter the province's five million-strong market.

Platform and Content Portfolio

At launch, EveryMatrix will offer premium titles from its in-house studio Fantasma Games, alongside aggregated content with plans for further portfolio expansion. The company has already secured commercial opportunities in Alberta, with agreements in place to deliver both platform technology and proprietary gaming content.

The Alberta approval strengthens EveryMatrix's North American presence, where it holds licences across multiple jurisdictions including Ontario since 2022, New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

Strategic Market Position

Alberta presents a compelling opportunity with its population of approximately five million, high digital adoption rates, and one of the strongest GDP per capita profiles in North America.

"Entering Alberta marks an exciting step for the Group as we expand further into one of North America's most attractive regulated markets. This approval shows the strength of our compliance team and our readiness to meet regulatory requirements in any market."

— Rani Axon, Market Manager, North America, EveryMatrix

Alberta Market Fundamentals

Regulatory Momentum

The AGLC approval demonstrates EveryMatrix's ability to navigate diverse regulatory frameworks across North American jurisdictions. With commercial agreements already secured ahead of market launch, the company appears well-positioned to capture early market share in Alberta's regulated environment.

The timing aligns with broader Canadian provincial interest in regulated iGaming following Ontario's successful market opening, potentially signalling further expansion opportunities as additional provinces consider regulatory frameworks.
