La Rioja approves Q2 2026 gaming machine registry

La Rioja Government has approved the gaming machine registration framework for the second quarter of 2026, establishing administrative and fiscal requirements for operators of recreational gaming machines with prizes.

The resolution creates an updated census of authorizations and regulates the settlement of gaming tax obligations during the quarter. Under the new framework, interested parties have ten days to consult the register and submit objections at the General Tax Authority offices in Logroño.

Compliance Deadlines

The publication serves as collective notification of tax settlements, in accordance with state tax regulations. Operators must fulfill their fiscal obligations through electronic submission, with self-assessments and corresponding payments must be submitted electronically between 1 to 20 July 2026 using the official approved model.

Following the public exposure period, operators will have one month to file appeals for reconsideration or economic-administrative claims against the determinations.

Administrative Process

The General Tax Authority offices in Logroño will serve as the primary contact point for operators seeking to review their registrations or file objections during the ten-day consultation period.

This administrative measure reflects La Rioja's systematic approach to gaming machine regulation, ensuring proper fiscal compliance while maintaining transparent processes for industry stakeholders. The electronic filing requirements align with broader digitization trends across Spanish regional gaming authorities.

Warning

Failure to comply with the electronic filing requirements or missing the July 1-20 submission window could result in administrative penalties and potential license complications for gaming machine operators.
