The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) has officially launched 1-800-MY-RESET as the new National Problem Gambling Helpline™ number, marking a significant shift toward more accessible and stigma-free support services.
The memorable number is now live and operational, connecting callers to NCPG's 24-hour helpline network spanning 24 contact centers across the United States. The initiative forms part of the organization's broader network modernization strategy aimed at strengthening national visibility for problem gambling support services.
The new number reflects a non-stigmatizing approach to gambling-related harm, allowing individuals to seek help at any stage of their relationship with gambling. Unlike traditional crisis-focused messaging, 1-800-MY-RESET positions the helpline as accessible support rather than emergency intervention only.
Problem gambling support should never be limited to a single moment or a single definition of harm. 1-800-MY-RESET reinforces that the National Problem Gambling Helpline is available at any stage—whether someone is worried about themselves, concerned about a family member, or simply looking for trusted guidance.
