EveryMatrix has secured a South African manufacturer's licence and announces major customer launches are imminent across Africa.
Feb 26, 2026 · 4 min read

EveryMatrix has secured regulatory approval to supply its turnkey platform technology in South Africa, marking a significant milestone as the provider positions for major customer launches across the continent. The move comes as part of a broader expansion strategy that has seen several high-profile partnerships materialise in recent weeks.
EveryMatrix South Africa (EMSA) obtained a manufacturer's licence from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board on 17 Feb 2026, authorising the company to provide its modular platform products across sports, casino, player account management (PAM), payments and affiliate management to local and international operators.
The licensing approval follows a period of strategic partnerships and acquisitions that have strengthened EveryMatrix's African footprint. Recent developments include partnerships with betOcean for exclusive casino content in New Jersey (12 Feb 2026), the launch of 'Academy for Heroes' supporting Ukraine's war veterans (05 Feb 2026), and ATG® Casino's record-breaking €1.4 Million MEGA Jackpot win celebration (27 Jan 2026). The provider also kicked off its landmark year of football with the Pass The Stats rollout on 16 Jan 2026.

The tier-1 technology provider has made significant strides across Africa, partnering with several local brands while preparing additional operators for imminent market entry. EveryMatrix's acquisition of FSB Technology has provided enhanced access to South Africa and other developed and developing iGaming markets across the continent.

Mark Schmidt, Managing Director, Africa, EveryMatrix, outlined the strategic importance of the licensing milestone:
"Bringing our full suite of turnkey platform products into South Africa under our new licence is enabling us to power some of the biggest brands here, giving them access to technology that will instantly unlock their potential and drive market growth."
— Mark Schmidt, Managing Director, Africa, EveryMatrix

Schmidt emphasised the comprehensive nature of EveryMatrix's offering in the region:
"Our casino, sports, PAM, payments, games and content aggregation and affiliate management solutions, supported by our local experts who understand their needs and challenges are providing an offering no one else has been able to offer so far in South Africa and across the continent."
— Mark Schmidt, Managing Director, Africa, EveryMatrix

The South African licence adds to EveryMatrix's extensive regulated market presence. The company operates 1,500 employees across 16 offices in 16 countries, serving 300+ customers worldwide, including operators in the regulated US market.

EveryMatrix maintains membership in the World Lottery Association (WLA), European Lotteries Association, CIBELAE and NASPL. In September 2023, it became the first iGaming supplier to receive WLA Safer Gambling Certification.

The platform's modular architecture allows operators to select optimal solutions while integrating third-party and in-house technology. This flexibility has attracted large-scale local and global tier-1 operators alongside World Lottery Association member organisations across key regulated markets.

The South African licensing represents more than regulatory compliance – it positions EveryMatrix for substantial market expansion as the continent's iGaming sector matures. The provider's turnkey platform technology is increasingly selected by established operators seeking comprehensive solutions that can scale rapidly across multiple jurisdictions.
Schmidt indicated major announcements are imminent, suggesting the pipeline of African partnerships will accelerate significantly in coming months. The combination of regulatory approval, established local expertise, and proven platform technology creates conditions for substantial market penetration.

This licensing milestone also demonstrates how strategic acquisitions like FSB Technology can unlock regulatory pathways and market access across multiple territories simultaneously, providing a blueprint for other technology providers eyeing African expansion.
